Chapter oneSunday
Every week, George waits for one day. Not his birthday, not a holiday. Sunday. Sunday is pancake day, and the griddle is hot before the sun is even up.
He wears the hat. He holds the fork like a trophy. He watches the batter bubble like it owes him money.

Chapter twoMonday
Then Monday shows up, the way it always does. The kitchen goes quiet. The syrup bottle is empty. And there is George, sitting at the table with his fork up anyway.
Pancake day is over. George is still hungry.

Chapter threeThe deal
So here is how it works now. There's a new coin every day, and every time somebody buys it, a fresh pancake drops onto his plate. Small buys make thin ones. Big buys make big fluffy ones.
Sells don't take any back. Nobody takes pancakes from George.

Chapter fourHow tall by Sunday?
Every morning brings a new coin and a clean plate, and Sunday is the big one. Last time the stack went through the ceiling. Nobody has figured out how to make him stop, and honestly, nobody is trying.
Don't show up Monday to an empty plate.
